Horton Interiors MD, Douglas Drummond, named in CID’s Power 50

After a successful year for Horton Interiors, we are pleased to announce that our Managing Director, Douglas Drummond, is included in Commercial Interior Design Magazine’s Power 50. This highly-anticipated annual list celebrates the design and fit-out industry’s most influential leaders.

Douglas took on the role of Managing Director in 2022, and during the last 12 months, Horton Interiors has become one of the leading design and build fit-out firms in the region. Under his leadership, the company has bolstered its design team to offer well-built creative solutions that provide the best ROI for clients. Horton has also been awarded its first standalone design projects, such as redesigning construction giant Amana’s headquarters in DIP.

“It’s fantastic to be recognised in CID’s Power 50 list, especially at such an exciting time for the company. We’re looking forward to building on our many recent achievements during the year ahead, with plans to move into new sectors and make further key appointments,” said Douglas.

With more than 15 years of experience in interior design and fit-out management, Douglas has delivered iconic projects for some of the world’s largest companies across Europe and the GCC. As Douglas comes from a design consultancy background, he has put great efforts into building a first-rate design team at Horton, which now has 14 members.

A keen believer in the benefits technology can bring to design and project management, Douglas has spearheaded the company’s digital transformation. As a Leed AP ID+C, Douglas leads by example and takes sustainability seriously. Since Douglas became MD, the company has taken significant steps to become more sustainable.
