The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the project management team in the successful execution of interior design and construction projects. This position involves coordinating technical aspects, managing documentation, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

DESCRIPTION:

Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any technical issues.

Technical Support:

  • Review project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and assist in resolving design and construction challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to the Project Manager.
  • Track project costs and assist in budget management.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing technical queries and providing updates on project progress.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project engineering or a related role within the interior design/construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software.
